Kinda a Short Fall

Kinda a short fall,
It seems it wasn't long ago, we were
complaining it's too hot. Then we started
getting cool weather, then back to warm. All
of a sudden it started getting cooler and
then cold.

Kinda a short fall,
Don't think we bargined for this so quick.
Rainy, cold and bad storms racing across
the states. Tornadoes hitting a lot of states.
There's alot of families torned apart, lost
loved ones, due to the tornadoes.

Kinda a short fall,
With the crispy cold winds. The kind that goes
to the bones. Surely to wake ya up, keep ya
moving. Getting into the 30's and 20's again,
trying to get ready for Old Man Winter to come.

Kinda a short fall,
It's better than all that heat, just wasn't
expecting the cold weather so soon. Wear something
warm. The leaves didn't get much of a chance to
show off their beauty.

About the Poet
I'm married. I am a grandmother. I love poetry, reading and writing it. Someone inspired me to start writing poetry again. That person is my Pastor.
