Don't Skip The Healing Process

by Jean Mollett

Don't skip the Healing Process,
whether it's a death of a family
member or a special love. Whether it's
abuse, being used, rape or incest. For
our bodies to be or feel complete,
rested. Take time to heal, not to
rush through life without it. Cause
without it, our bodies, mind, heart and
soul is thrown into a Tizzy. Emotions
out of control, will cause more harm,
than good. Throws your whole system
out of wack. Out of balance,
yearning for order.

Don't skip the Healing Process,
each person handles things differently.
It gets too much, don't hesitate to
seek professional help. Specially if
it's nerves, no it doesn't mean your
crazy. It means there's problems you
may not be able to handle, that need
worked out. Along with healing, others
seek out different ways of dealing with
it. Writing is very good, talking about
it, drawing, painting. Working to help
others. Helps to keep our minds from
the subject and busy.

Don't skip the Healing Process,
sometimes it takes more time for others.
That's okay, it's something ya can't get
over in 5 minutes or overnight. Looking
for that enter peace of mind. Some turn
to the Lord, others don't. That's up to
them, it's their choice to make. It may
be hard to let it go and talk about things.
You may feel others are interfering, they
see your pain, may even feel it. They're
only trying to help, give a lending hand,
an ear to listen or shoulder to cry on.
If so, don't bite the hand of a friendship,
they have good intentions. They're trying to
help, not hurt you. Remember, you're not
alone. There are others out there, going
through it too. Helping each other through
our times of need. Letting ya know they
care. You're not alone.

Author's Note: I'm so thankful for my best friend, Louise. We've been thru so much, been there for each other. If you decide to turn to the Lord, don't be afraid, just reach out and let him enter your heart. I hope this hasn't offended anyone. This is a special tribute for anyone that has been thru Abuse. My heart goes out to you, may you find that inner peace again.

About the Poet
I'm married. I am a grandmother. I love poetry, reading and writing it. Someone inspired me to start writing poetry again. That person is my Pastor.
