Fried Apples and Hot Buttered Biscuits

by Jean Mollett

Fried apples and hot buttered biscuits,
there ain't nothing like it, so good.
The aroma of hot biscuits and fried
apples and cinnamon lingering everywhere.
Fried apples and hot buttered biscuits.

Fried apples and hot buttered biscuits,
it's enough to drive the nostrils crazy.
Oh, oh the taste when you bite into it,
oh, oh, it's out of this world. Yummy.
Can't wait to get your hangs on it. Right?
Fried apples and hot buttered biscuits.

Author's Note: It's enough to make ya, smack your granny down. But, not really down. Another old saying. I had some fried apples this evening. After I ate it, I thought: Man, if I only had hot butterd buscuits.

About the Poet
I'm married. I am a grandmother. I love poetry, reading and writing it. Someone inspired me to start writing poetry again. That person is my Pastor.
