If Only In Her Dreams

by Jean Mollett

If only in her dreams,
she escapes from her unhappy home,
to her own little world far away.
Where sadness is never allowed.

If only in her dreams,
she escapes from all the sadness,
to her own little world far away.
Where happiness is only allowed.

If only in her dreams,
she escapes from all the mental abuse,
to her own little world far away.
Where peace and calmess is only allowed.

If only in her dreams,
she escapes if only for a short while,
to her own little world far away.
Where she can spread her wings and fly.

If only in her dreams,
she escapes from her life to be free,
to her own little world far away.
Where she can live and be free.

Author's Note: She knows it's over, been over. Now it's time for her to take care of herself for a change, instead  of everyone else first.

About the Poet
I'm married. I am a grandmother. I love poetry, reading and writing it. Someone inspired me to start writing poetry again. That person is my Pastor.
