Good News, Yet Sad too

Good news, yet sad too.
A little Brown Creep that moved into
my shed, had four eggs. Little over
a week or so, I discovered three out
of the four hatched out, the fourth
didn't. I saw three little babies,
one egg. I told my hubby about it.

Good news, yet sad too.
She's a little mama too. Little mama
is smaller than a Sparrow. Boy she's
busy now, feeding her little ones. A
couple days ago, my hubby said the egg
was gone. It didn't hatch out, so mama
took it away. I felt so sorry for her,
the fourth one didn't hatch. At least
little mama has her other three
little ones.

Good news, yet sad too.
Whenever my hubby went out to the shed,
little mama would fly out of the nest.
She'ld find a spot not to far from the
nest, then start chirping loud and watching
him. Like to say, get out of here, I've got
work to do. I've got babies. Now, when he
goes in the shed, he starts talking to her.
Sometimes she'll fly out, but now she
sits there. Watches everything, seems
to be alot calmer now.

Author's Notes:
I haven't got to see what all
she does, but I hope too. I'd like
to see her feeding them if I could. I
don't go out there unless I have too.
There's little square like openings,
she comes and goes thru. He has it
to slide cords to the back side of the
shed for lights, etc.

About the Poet
I'm married. I am a grandmother. I love poetry, reading and writing it. Someone inspired me to start writing poetry again. That person is my Pastor.
