Post Cards Are Almost Extinct Now

by Jean Mollett

Post cards Are almost Extinct now.
Seems like anymore, they're not around.
Ask about a certain post card, some people
look at ya like, "Are ya plum crazy?" Not
many places carry them anymore. Weird.
Never thought, I'd see them go away.
Post cards Are almost Extinct now.

Post cards Are almost Extinct now.
Was looking for a certain card, never did
find it. At a vistor's station, we recieved
some booklets of pictures of the place we
wanted. But, not post cards of it anywhere.
I have seen some cards at glass factory and
a little old timey dime store. And that's it.
Post cards Are almost Extince now.

Post cards Are almost Extinct now.
So, tell me! What gives anyway about post
cards? They're still good items to send out.
Yes, yes, there's the emails cards too.
But, it's nice to have a real true post
card from a place ya go to. Strange how
things end so soon at times. Very rare.
Post cards Are almost Extinct now.

Author's Note: Post cards, a thing to be a part of the past. Sad, isn't it?

Editor's Note:  Plenty of post cards  along the Grand Strand in South Carolina!  And in Calabash, NC too.

About the Poet
I'm married. I am a grandmother. I love poetry, reading and writing it. Someone inspired me to start writing poetry again. That person is my Pastor.
