Butterflies

Butterflies,

are so beautiful in flight,

they love the flowers.

Butterflies,

fluttering their wings,

showing all their beauty.

Author's Notes:

A little beauty landed in our yard,

to rest I guess. The heat was too

much for her. She died with her wings

standing tall, showing her beauty.

She's solid black, with blue spots

scattered along the edges of her

wings. This is so sad to see.

About the Poet
I'm married. I am a grandmother. I love poetry, reading and writing it. Someone inspired me to start writing poetry again. That person is my Pastor.
