Reflecting in Life

Reflecting in life:
Sometimes, you wonder about things you've
done with your life. What all good has come
of it? Have I made a difference?
Life goes on.

Reflecting in life:
You've been places, met people, seen things.
Sometimes you're not sure if it was real, but it
was. Seeing what some people go thru, or have
been thru.
Life goes on.

Reflecting in life:
Really makes you stop in your tracks, to think
about it, like a close call. Wakes you up real
quick, makes you see what can or should be
done.
Life goes on.

Reflecting in life:
If you've experienced being with someone dying,
you soon learn to appericate life more. If it's
your first experience, it can be very scary,
frightening. What you see or hear, it hurts so
deeply. You mourn, pick up the pieces.
Life goes on.

Reflecting in life:
You wonder why did this happened? Your heart hurts,
body so weary. You have only one body, one life,
treat it well. Life is so Precious, Love our Lord.
Take care in life, you'll learn more.
Life goes on.

A friend mentioned to me, caught me by surprise.
Said, when you lose a family member, you won't
be like husband or wife in Heaven, you'll be
just people there. Not to keep mourning,
wanting to die and be with them. You have to
get over it, pick up the pieces, and move on.
Life has to continue on. Who is to say what
we are to each other in Heaven? Makes ya wonder?
Never really thought about it.

About the Poet
I'm married. I am a grandmother. I love poetry, reading and writing it. Someone inspired me to start writing poetry again. That person is my Pastor.
