It's play time Mommy

by Jean Mollett

It's play time Mommy,
my puppy has her own little ways of
letting me know  that it's play time.
Or she just wants to play anytime.
Specially after going out to potty,
it's play time, oh boy.

It's play time Mommy,
she'll take one of her toys and
drop it at my feet. Or she will come
running and shaking her toy. Sometimes
she will have the toy in her mouth and
come at my feet, throws out that big
paw. You'll hear her little bruff, it's
not a full bark, like a half bark. Once
in awhile a big bark for her size. Her
full bark hasn't been quite discovered
yet.

It's play time Mommy,
watching her little antics when she
wants to play. Ya gotta laugh, it's
so cute. Ya gotta play too, she'll
not let up til ya do. Unless ya leave
the room, then you'll hear from her.
Come play with me.

Author's Note: She'll go after me or Daddy to play. Keeps us pretty busy around here. Hee! Hee!!

About the Poet
I'm married. I am a grandmother. I love poetry, reading and writing it. Someone inspired me to start writing poetry again. That person is my Pastor.
