Another Thanksgiving

by Jean Mollett

Another Thanksgiving has come and gone,
another year without both my parents.
Another time spent without them,
another time without  bells and whistles blowing.

Another Thanksgiving has come and gone,
another year just doesn't seem the same without them.
Another time spent without hearing from family,
another time without any laughter, just sadness.

Another Thanksgiving has come and gone,
another year without both my parents.
Another time spent without being with family,
another time spent remembering the last one together.

Author's Note: Remembering my favorite Thanksgiving, at least I have pictures of it. One year ago, Nov 06, for my Mom. My Dad, Feb 07.

About the Poet
I'm married. I am a grandmother. I love poetry, reading and writing it. Someone inspired me to start writing poetry again. That person is my Pastor.
