This Empty Space

This Empty Space

This empty space,

is not a room,

or an open box,

it's a broken heart.

This empty space,

yet, not knowing how to fill,

yearning to fill that open void,

to help mend one's heart.

This empty space,

Lord, please help ease my pain,

I pray for your strength and guidance,

to help mend my heart.

Author's Notes:

With my family and friends

and lots of prayers.

Taking it day by day and moment

by moment.

I hope this makes some sense.

About the Poet
I'm married. I am a grandmother. I love poetry, reading and writing it. Someone inspired me to start writing poetry again. That person is my Pastor.
