This poem is dedicated to those who grieve

Heavenly Escort

your escort's arm now take hold

yes, this story must be told

he is ever by your side

trusted friend and worthy guide

in the good times and bad

times when you're happy and sad

through victory or sorrow

he's with you today and tomorrow

when your heart's heavy and burdened with grief

only he and no other can give you relief

Jesus Christ is your heavenly escort

your source of comfort and support

always there to hold your hand

when you stumble, he'll help you to stand

through your long night of tears and pain

remember the victory is yours to gain

he's beside you through rain and shine

even if your faith would be supine

he'll take your weakness and give you strength

Jesus goes the extra distance, whatever the length

you're in my thoughts, you're in my prayers

trust your escort to relieve you of your cares

In Jesus' name I pray

today and alway

About the Poet
I grew up in rural North Carolina, married for 38 years to my best friend and soulmate, Allen, who retired almost 17 years ago from the Air Force after 24 years of service to our beloved America. We have a daughter, Ashley ( and son-in-law, Kris) and, a son, John, and, our two beautiful grand daughters, Amelia and Haley, and Isaac, our only grandson, all blessings from God. We have four cats; Mr. Peabody, Missy, aka Middle Kitty and Tabby, aka Little Kitty, and Gracie. I've seen a lot of hard times and God has always been here for me to see me through them. I am a vessel God can use to help others in need. If I could be described in one word, it would be that I am an encourager.
