Let the Bible Lead You

untold power among it's pages
it's been around for ages and ages
wisdom gleaned at the touch of a finger tip
for life long service it will equip
don't be alarmed by the number of books
it's not as intimidating as it looks
I know a very fine place to start
you can do this - don't have any qualms
open your Bible to the book of Psalms
most of the chapters aren't very long
it will tell you to whom you belong
it holds the recipe for a life of success
I love my Bible - could you guess
reading five Psalms and one Proverb a day
will help you learn to keep the devil at bay
if for a month you follow this routine
so much wisdom you're sure to glean
more wisdom than you ever knew
when you let the Bible lead you

Psalm 111:10
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow his precepts have good understanding. To him belongs eternal praise.

About the Poet
I grew up in rural North Carolina, married for 38 years to my best friend and soulmate, Allen, who retired almost 17 years ago from the Air Force after 24 years of service to our beloved America. We have a daughter, Ashley ( and son-in-law, Kris) and, a son, John, and, our two beautiful grand daughters, Amelia and Haley, and Isaac, our only grandson, all blessings from God. We have four cats; Mr. Peabody, Missy, aka Middle Kitty and Tabby, aka Little Kitty, and Gracie. I've seen a lot of hard times and God has always been here for me to see me through them. I am a vessel God can use to help others in need. If I could be described in one word, it would be that I am an encourager.
