Dewdrops on Flowers

I’ve searched high
and I’ve searched low,
and everywhere I go
I can not seem to find
this thing for which I pine.
I think I must be blind.
I only want to see
a poem that expresses me.
I think I can
I think I must…
Can it be that I can think?
Oh, I think I’m on the brink
of a poem that expresses me!
It should not be so complicated.
Is there a poem that’s outdated?
I think I can
I think I must…
or I think that I shall bust.
I look to the One above
who gives me all His love.
He can surely help me!
Dewdrops on flowers…
I could look at them for hours.
Birds and bees
and butterflies and trees;
family and friends, dear and sweet.
To enjoy them all is such a treat.
Now I think I see
a poem that expresses me!

About the Poet
I grew up in rural North Carolina, married for 38 years to my best friend and soulmate, Allen, who retired almost 17 years ago from the Air Force after 24 years of service to our beloved America. We have a daughter, Ashley ( and son-in-law, Kris) and, a son, John, and, our two beautiful grand daughters, Amelia and Haley, and Isaac, our only grandson, all blessings from God. We have four cats; Mr. Peabody, Missy, aka Middle Kitty and Tabby, aka Little Kitty, and Gracie. I've seen a lot of hard times and God has always been here for me to see me through them. I am a vessel God can use to help others in need. If I could be described in one word, it would be that I am an encourager.
