Lainey Rose - Sweetness Personified

although we've never met

you're a family I won't forget

through a friend of a friend

and the internet, my prayers I'll send

dear, sweet Lainey Rose

your purpose in life, Jesus knows

in the weeks since your birth, you've touched many lives

a tiny, angelic bundle of joy, one may surmise

such a strong little spirit

your story - everyone should hear it

diagnosed with Campomelic Dysplasia

many people are praying for ya'

each day with you is a blessing for Mom and Dad

they know you're the greatest two parents ever had

your beautiful smiles light up the room

more lovely than a rose in bloom

yes, God still performs miracles in our day and age

via the internet, come well wishes and wisdom sage

through www.caringbridge.com, messages we post

staying in touch from Minnesota to the coast

God bless you Lainey Rose, Chris and Heather

you're stronger with each storm you weather

About the Poet
I grew up in rural North Carolina, married for 38 years to my best friend and soulmate, Allen, who retired almost 17 years ago from the Air Force after 24 years of service to our beloved America. We have a daughter, Ashley ( and son-in-law, Kris) and, a son, John, and, our two beautiful grand daughters, Amelia and Haley, and Isaac, our only grandson, all blessings from God. We have four cats; Mr. Peabody, Missy, aka Middle Kitty and Tabby, aka Little Kitty, and Gracie. I've seen a lot of hard times and God has always been here for me to see me through them. I am a vessel God can use to help others in need. If I could be described in one word, it would be that I am an encourager.
