The Ultimate Fruit

enjoy the best fruit around

best that's ever been found

nurtured by the Master's hand

none better across this land

this fruit adds years to your life

so tender one doesn't need a knife

it's flavor is sure to bring pleasure

it's worth is far beyond measure

be sure to get yours today

with coin or paper you need not pay

this fruit in full abundance you will receive

when in God above, you totally believe

by the Holy Spirit it is freely given

accept this fruit today and you'll be forever livin'

Galations 5:22-26

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfullness, gentleness and self-control.  Against such things there is no law.  Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with it's passions and desires.  Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.  Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.

About the Poet
I grew up in rural North Carolina, married for 38 years to my best friend and soulmate, Allen, who retired almost 17 years ago from the Air Force after 24 years of service to our beloved America. We have a daughter, Ashley ( and son-in-law, Kris) and, a son, John, and, our two beautiful grand daughters, Amelia and Haley, and Isaac, our only grandson, all blessings from God. We have four cats; Mr. Peabody, Missy, aka Middle Kitty and Tabby, aka Little Kitty, and Gracie. I've seen a lot of hard times and God has always been here for me to see me through them. I am a vessel God can use to help others in need. If I could be described in one word, it would be that I am an encourager.
