The Turning Point

at times you came close, but did not turn
lessons learned; still you yearn

whatever your need - the Lord will provide
within His love He wants you to abide

His love and mercy can not be measured
even in your despair - to Him you are treasured

those times you doubt His power to restore
remember, He can make you stronger than before

when your body and mind are weak
draw close to Him - it is He you seek

turn to Him and whisper a prayer
you'll feel His presence - you'll know He is there

take that first step - I know it's the hardest
this decision will be your smartest

farther now from Satan's joint
you'll know when you've reached the turning point

Isaiah 40:28-31
Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary and His understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall, but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

About the Poet
I grew up in rural North Carolina, married for 38 years to my best friend and soulmate, Allen, who retired almost 17 years ago from the Air Force after 24 years of service to our beloved America. We have a daughter, Ashley ( and son-in-law, Kris) and, a son, John, and, our two beautiful grand daughters, Amelia and Haley, and Isaac, our only grandson, all blessings from God. We have four cats; Mr. Peabody, Missy, aka Middle Kitty and Tabby, aka Little Kitty, and Gracie. I've seen a lot of hard times and God has always been here for me to see me through them. I am a vessel God can use to help others in need. If I could be described in one word, it would be that I am an encourager.
