Fabric of the Soul

Fabric of the Soul

the most treasured fibers
known and unknown to man are
woven into the fabric of the soul

this fabric stretches and moves
so smoothly one forgets it is being worn
one can never outgrow the fabric of the soul

one hundred percent heaven-made material
the most durable fabric ever designed
God alone creates the fabric of the soul

strong enough to endure heartaches and pain
the soils of life can't penetrate these fibers
it is possible to stain the fabric of the soul

believe this; it is true
the sacred blood of Jesus
can cleanse the fabric of the soul

it doesn't cost more than one can afford
as He hung on the cross, Jesus paid the price
ask Him to clean the fabric of your soul

with one loving stroke
He'll wipe away the stains
white as snow, the fabric of the soul

the strongest, most beautiful fibers
designed to last through all eternity
are integral components of the fabric of the soul

About the Poet
I grew up in rural North Carolina, married for 38 years to my best friend and soulmate, Allen, who retired almost 17 years ago from the Air Force after 24 years of service to our beloved America. We have a daughter, Ashley ( and son-in-law, Kris) and, a son, John, and, our two beautiful grand daughters, Amelia and Haley, and Isaac, our only grandson, all blessings from God. We have four cats; Mr. Peabody, Missy, aka Middle Kitty and Tabby, aka Little Kitty, and Gracie. I've seen a lot of hard times and God has always been here for me to see me through them. I am a vessel God can use to help others in need. If I could be described in one word, it would be that I am an encourager.
