The Story of Baby Jesse

Most Gracious Heavenly Father above
thank you for filling their hearts with love.
Because in this love they believed,
their precious son was conceived.
Due to choices and circumstances
they know You allow second chances.
His mother, strong and dear
knows You are always near.
She prays for her son
Your holy will be done.
As his life will unfold
Your wonders through him they will behold.
And she prays, as well
in Your love his father will dwell.
Help them to know their purpose in life
and that You will help them through their strife.
Within Your laws they want to live
and are thankful for all You give.
Truly through mercy and grace
in the end they will see Your face.
They lift up to Your hand
their precious little man.
To You, oh God this day I pray.
Through storm or disaster,
love and laughter
they will live happily everafter.

About the Poet
I grew up in rural North Carolina, married for 38 years to my best friend and soulmate, Allen, who retired almost 17 years ago from the Air Force after 24 years of service to our beloved America. We have a daughter, Ashley ( and son-in-law, Kris) and, a son, John, and, our two beautiful grand daughters, Amelia and Haley, and Isaac, our only grandson, all blessings from God. We have four cats; Mr. Peabody, Missy, aka Middle Kitty and Tabby, aka Little Kitty, and Gracie. I've seen a lot of hard times and God has always been here for me to see me through them. I am a vessel God can use to help others in need. If I could be described in one word, it would be that I am an encourager.
