Dot to Dot

remember this game of your youth

listen now and I'll tell you the truth

it's easiest to begin with "Number One"

listening to the preacher, you begin to connect

verses you'd forgot - now you recollect

anxious to see the big picture

take your time - don't go too fast

this picture won't fade - it's made to last

life is a mystery - yes, it's a puzzle

sometimes the dots are close - some far apart

it's not always as easy as it looks, but God knows your heart

do your best and stay on the right track

when you make  mistakes, God allows  erases

forgiven ---  you become one of  God's aces

follow the right dots and one day you'll see Christ

on this journey of dot to dot

help others    .....   it will mean a lot

Ecclesiastes 3:11-14

He (God) has made everything beautiful in its time.  He has also set eternity in the hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end.  I know that there is nothing better for men than to be happy and do good while they live.  That everyone may eat and drink, and find satisfaction in all his toil - this is the gift of God.  I know that everything God does will endure forever, nothing can be added to it and nothing taken from it.  God does it so that men will revere Him.

About the Poet
I grew up in rural North Carolina, married for 38 years to my best friend and soulmate, Allen, who retired almost 17 years ago from the Air Force after 24 years of service to our beloved America. We have a daughter, Ashley ( and son-in-law, Kris) and, a son, John, and, our two beautiful grand daughters, Amelia and Haley, and Isaac, our only grandson, all blessings from God. We have four cats; Mr. Peabody, Missy, aka Middle Kitty and Tabby, aka Little Kitty, and Gracie. I've seen a lot of hard times and God has always been here for me to see me through them. I am a vessel God can use to help others in need. If I could be described in one word, it would be that I am an encourager.
