A Righteous Life

How does one learn to live a righteous life?

first, let me say - in this life there will be trouble and strife

constantly talk to God night and day

He always hears you when you pray

never, never, ever doubt His power

He keeps His eyes on you every minute of every hour

nothing from Him can you hide

within His love He wants you to abide

your trouble and strife will make you stronger and more mature

your faithfullness will be rewarded, that's for sure

even during your suffering you can have a joyful heart

just knowing God is near and from you He'll never depart

through your hard times - endure and perservere

later on, you'll understand - it'll be perfectly clear

Proverbs 21:21

He who pursues righteousness and love finds life, prosperity and honor.

About the Poet
I grew up in rural North Carolina, married for 38 years to my best friend and soulmate, Allen, who retired almost 17 years ago from the Air Force after 24 years of service to our beloved America. We have a daughter, Ashley ( and son-in-law, Kris) and, a son, John, and, our two beautiful grand daughters, Amelia and Haley, and Isaac, our only grandson, all blessings from God. We have four cats; Mr. Peabody, Missy, aka Middle Kitty and Tabby, aka Little Kitty, and Gracie. I've seen a lot of hard times and God has always been here for me to see me through them. I am a vessel God can use to help others in need. If I could be described in one word, it would be that I am an encourager.
