Goes Beyond Words

From the day we met
Knew you would be one never to forget.
Souls speak in a language of their own.
Thank you God for the seed that was sown.
It goes beyond words this love that grows
His spirit between us sparkles and glows.
At times when our eyes meet
seems my heart skips a beat.
I’ll try to describe the connection;
God looks at us and sees His reflection.
Though we’ll soon be miles apart
you are always near and dear to my heart.
‘tis only a temporary separation;
life on earth is simply preparation.
God gifted us each in a special way.
Ready to work for Him today.
Thank you for being there for me.
I look forward to us sharing eternity.
To my special friend and sister in Christ.
Smile dear lady, you know who you are.

About the Poet
I grew up in rural North Carolina, married for 38 years to my best friend and soulmate, Allen, who retired almost 17 years ago from the Air Force after 24 years of service to our beloved America. We have a daughter, Ashley ( and son-in-law, Kris) and, a son, John, and, our two beautiful grand daughters, Amelia and Haley, and Isaac, our only grandson, all blessings from God. We have four cats; Mr. Peabody, Missy, aka Middle Kitty and Tabby, aka Little Kitty, and Gracie. I've seen a lot of hard times and God has always been here for me to see me through them. I am a vessel God can use to help others in need. If I could be described in one word, it would be that I am an encourager.
