Liberation Day

sometimes children suffer

and from the pain we buffer

back and forth between households

both desire to fit the molds

somewhere along the way

found there wasn't much to say

love for the kids runs deep as a well

today the ruling the judge must tell

God holds these precious ones in His hands

His will be done and the decision stands

prayers were sent up for the families and the judge

by his authority, the judge won't budge

he's made his decision and he will not sway

for Mom and the girls 06-26-06 is Liberation Day

Romans 8:25-27

But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.  In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness.   We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Sprit himself intercedes for us with groans that words can not express.   And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God's will.

About the Poet
I grew up in rural North Carolina, married for 38 years to my best friend and soulmate, Allen, who retired almost 17 years ago from the Air Force after 24 years of service to our beloved America. We have a daughter, Ashley ( and son-in-law, Kris) and, a son, John, and, our two beautiful grand daughters, Amelia and Haley, and Isaac, our only grandson, all blessings from God. We have four cats; Mr. Peabody, Missy, aka Middle Kitty and Tabby, aka Little Kitty, and Gracie. I've seen a lot of hard times and God has always been here for me to see me through them. I am a vessel God can use to help others in need. If I could be described in one word, it would be that I am an encourager.
