Heartfelt Joy

How can I express in words
the heartfelt joy within?
if I live to be one hundred
How would I even begin
to thank You for forgiveness
tho I deserved a penalty...

for remembering not my sins
and giving me eyes to see.
all I can do is be willing
to serve you Lord each day,
remain a faithful follower
and be diligent to pray.
To share your love with others
and give with all my heart,
surrender more and more
so more You can impart.
to never compromise Your truth
or appease the whims of men...

live the life and not just talk
about being "born again." (c)

About the Poet
Christian since 1973, widowed in 2007, but by the divine appt. of God, I married a wonderful, godly widower in Oct. 2010. Three grown, married sons and eight grandchildren. My first love is Jesus who inspires my pen, for apart from Him I can do nothing! I desire to honor the Lord and edify readers thru poetry He inspires.
