Simple Truths

You can't sunbathe without the sun,
win a race if you don't run,
use an appliance without power,
or create a bouquet without a flower!
you can't sail a boat on dry land,
so why is it so hard to understand,
that you can't sweep away sin's residue
by the sincere good works you do!
only the blood of Jesus can
pardon our sins and save man.
you can't earn salvation or ever see
heaven above without Calvary! (c)

John 10:6-9  "I am the gate for sheep, Jesus said. "all others who came before Me were thieves and robbers.  Yes, I am the gate.  Those who come in through Me will be saved."

About the Poet
Christian since 1973, widowed in 2007, but by the divine appt. of God, I married a wonderful, godly widower in Oct. 2010. Three grown, married sons and eight grandchildren. My first love is Jesus who inspires my pen, for apart from Him I can do nothing! I desire to honor the Lord and edify readers thru poetry He inspires.
