Perfection

I often wonder as I behold
God's azure sky streaked with gold,
how far away is heaven's door,
my future home forevermore!
I then imagine many things,
like hearing holy angels sing,
with loved ones gathered there
walking with Jesus void of care.
Perfection everywhere I look,
crystal rivers and peaceful brooks,
streets paved with purest gold,
with no thought of growing old...
a place where only good abounds,
tears and heartaches are not found...
departure is a heartbeat away,
and I look forward to that day
when heaven will no longer be
an awesome thought or mystery! (c)

Rev.21:3&4 "Look, the home of God is among His people!  He will remove all of their sorrows, and there will be no more death, sadness, crying or pain.  For the old world and its evils are gone forever."

About the Poet
Christian since 1973, widowed in 2007, but by the divine appt. of God, I married a wonderful, godly widower in Oct. 2010. Three grown, married sons and eight grandchildren. My first love is Jesus who inspires my pen, for apart from Him I can do nothing! I desire to honor the Lord and edify readers thru poetry He inspires.
