Hidden in Christ

Hide yourselves in Christ,
it's the only place to run...
seek not caverns, caves or
remote islands in the sun!

Hide yourselves in Christ,
He's your tower of security...
there's provision for the righteous
in His holy sancturary.

Hide yourselves in Christ
your gateway of salvation...
there's no safety in the
fortresses of ungodly nations.

All is sinking sand on earth,
the world is thick with sorrow...
only in Christ's blood washed camp
is there hope for your tomorrow!

Hide yourselves in Christ,
the world is steeped in sin..
things not of God's kingdom
are being violently shaken.

He'll never forsake nor fail you,
draw closer while you can,
resting confidently in Christ,
not the white-washed works of man!

Hebrews 6:18 &19 "God has given us both His promise and His oath.  These two things are unchangeable because it's impossible for God to lie.  Therefore, we who have fled to Him for refuge can take new courage, for we can hold onto His promise with confidence.  It's like a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls."

About the Poet
Christian since 1973, widowed in 2007, but by the divine appt. of God, I married a wonderful, godly widower in Oct. 2010. Three grown, married sons and eight grandchildren. My first love is Jesus who inspires my pen, for apart from Him I can do nothing! I desire to honor the Lord and edify readers thru poetry He inspires.
