Bide Your Time

Bide Your Time

Sluggish, weary caterpillar
tired of your cocoon,
you will emerge into
a butterfly real soon.

You must bide your time
and wait patiently,
until the day arrives
for you to be set free.

A new season is approaching,
a time you will explore
things you have not seen
and never done before.

In fair or stormy weather
God will guide your flight,
and get you safely thru
the perils of your plight.

You'll then flap your wings
to enjoy God's promise,
and know you've been appointed
for such a time as this!

About the Poet
Christian since 1973, widowed in 2007, but by the divine appt. of God, I married a wonderful, godly widower in Oct. 2010. Three grown, married sons and eight grandchildren. My first love is Jesus who inspires my pen, for apart from Him I can do nothing! I desire to honor the Lord and edify readers thru poetry He inspires.
