When We're Hidden in Christ

When We're Hidden in Christ

When we're hidden in Christ...
we NEVER seek a halo,
the limelight wherever we go
nor a one man show.

When we're hidden in Christ...
we honor and praise
and our hands we raise
to the Ancient of Days!

When we're hidden in Christ...
we seek no adulation
or standing ovation
nor unbiblical manifestation.

When we're hidden in Christ...
it's not about titles or degrees
a list of activities,
or a crowd to appease.

When we're hidden in Christ...
it is about total surrender
with no personal agenda
that overshadows Christ's splendor.

When we're hidden in Christ...
eyes point in His direction
others should see His reflection
as we come under close inspection.

About the Poet
Christian since 1973, widowed in 2007, but by the divine appt. of God, I married a wonderful, godly widower in Oct. 2010. Three grown, married sons and eight grandchildren. My first love is Jesus who inspires my pen, for apart from Him I can do nothing! I desire to honor the Lord and edify readers thru poetry He inspires.
