Only Our God Can

Only God can loose the purse strings of greed
and change a heart to meet a need...
He'll lead a stingy man to bless
another soul who has much less.
Only God can turn the key
to set the prisoners of bondage free...
He will release the noose of sin
that strangles myriad men and women.

Only God can restore a tainted mind
replacing it with another kind...
the mind of Christ softens a heart,
thru His blood there's a fresh start...
Only God can remove the dark veil,
open blind eyes, and silence the wails
of an assaulted, vengeful soul; wipe
the slate clean and make them whole.

Only God can forgive and forget
without second thoughts or regret...
A God so merciful and just
that He only asks that we trust!
Only God knows what you've been thru,
knows your name and cares for you...
come young and old without hesitation,
Christ beckons you to receive salvation!
