Spring arrives with lovely flowers,
summer has its sultry hours,
autumn soon comes to an end
as winter is around the bend.
There is a chill in the air,
all the trees are almost bare;
blustery winds fiercely blow,
anytime we could see snow!

While children skate on frozen ponds
shivering moms and dads look on!
cloudy skies with fuscia streaks
block the sun from taking a peek.
Winter makes its grand debut
as it obeys the good Lord's cue.
hearth and home are a retreat
where loving friends and families meet.

Fuzzy blankets keep us snug
just like a cuddly big bear hug!
riding sleds down icy hills,
invigorated by the thrills...
but winter too shall bite the dust
as all the other seasons must.
tho the changes some despise,
it's a wonder to my eyes.
Winter, summer, spring and fall,
I thank our Father for them all!

About the Poet
Christian since 1973, widowed in 2007, but by the divine appt. of God, I married a wonderful, godly widower in Oct. 2010. Three grown, married sons and eight grandchildren. My first love is Jesus who inspires my pen, for apart from Him I can do nothing! I desire to honor the Lord and edify readers thru poetry He inspires.
