Peace

Peace

Peace, peace, the nations cry,
many waving banners high;
hundreds marching side by side
demonstrating far and wide.

Peace, peace, the people shout,
full of unbelief and doubt;
as plans for peace commence,
fear and hatred are intense.

Peace, peace, just look around,
only tension can be found,
words of wisdom great men preach,
but peace is still beyond our reach!

Peace, peace, when will we see
men live in perfect harmony?
how will violence ever cease?
when Jesus reigns as Prince of Peace!

About the Poet
Christian since 1973, widowed in 2007, but by the divine appt. of God, I married a wonderful, godly widower in Oct. 2010. Three grown, married sons and eight grandchildren. My first love is Jesus who inspires my pen, for apart from Him I can do nothing! I desire to honor the Lord and edify readers thru poetry He inspires.
