Thorns and Victory

We love the scent of roses,
the thorns we'd rather shun,
but thorns should not deter us
if God's perfect will be done!

While basking in the sunshine
many storms begin to brew;
find shelter in the Lord despite
the trials we all go through!

The Lord sent a reminder
that still resounds today;
without the crucifixion
there's no RESURRECTION DAY!

Endure the thorns of suffering
with grace and dignity,
and just like Jesus did
we'll rise above in victory!

About the Poet
Christian since 1973, widowed in 2007, but by the divine appt. of God, I married a wonderful, godly widower in Oct. 2010. Three grown, married sons and eight grandchildren. My first love is Jesus who inspires my pen, for apart from Him I can do nothing! I desire to honor the Lord and edify readers thru poetry He inspires.
