Welcome Springtime

The earth awakens from its rest,
a glimpse of new life at its best...
butterflies pass two by two
as springtime makes its grand debut!

God sends showers in the spring,
and gives the birds a song to sing...
flowers bloom with tender grace
as they gaze upon God's face.

Leaves start sprouting on the trees,
swaying to the gentle breeze...
our windows open for the view,
welcome springtime we love you!

Old man winter it's time to go
along with all your ice and snow...
you've had your time, now go away,
a brand new season's on its way!

About the Poet
Christian since 1973, widowed in 2007, but by the divine appt. of God, I married a wonderful, godly widower in Oct. 2010. Three grown, married sons and eight grandchildren. My first love is Jesus who inspires my pen, for apart from Him I can do nothing! I desire to honor the Lord and edify readers thru poetry He inspires.
