Turning the Page

As the old year bids farewell
and a new one makes its debut,
I'm excited for one reason,
to see what God will do!

I'm being chiseled and honed
to fit in God's plan...
He's stripping away the flesh
by His creative hand.

What remains is my desire
and willingness to obey,
as God hammers out this
vessel every single day!

Oh it hurts, and He's not done
by any stretch of the imagination...
yet He proceeds with patience
in His arduous operation.

I can face the new year,
God's grace leads me on...
It's time to turn the page
cause yesterday is gone!

About the Poet
Christian since 1973, widowed in 2007, but by the divine appt. of God, I married a wonderful, godly widower in Oct. 2010. Three grown, married sons and eight grandchildren. My first love is Jesus who inspires my pen, for apart from Him I can do nothing! I desire to honor the Lord and edify readers thru poetry He inspires.
