But a Vapor

But a Vapor

Our lives are but a vapor
like fog that comes and goes,
then lifts and disappears
but how, nobody knows...

As flowers bloom and die,
we share a common bond,
yet unlike the fate of flowers
life eternal waits beyond...

Like a puff of smoke,
or dew in early morn,
is the brevity of life
from the moment we're born.

Life is filled with choices
everyone of us must make...
asking Jesus to save you
is the wisest step to take.

Where you'll spend eternity
is entirely up to you...
now is the time to decide
before your life is through!

About the Poet
Christian since 1973, widowed in 2007, but by the divine appt. of God, I married a wonderful, godly widower in Oct. 2010. Three grown, married sons and eight grandchildren. My first love is Jesus who inspires my pen, for apart from Him I can do nothing! I desire to honor the Lord and edify readers thru poetry He inspires.
