A Beautiful Place

A TRIBUTE TO MY MOM, PROVIDENCE FARINA
who went home to be with Jesus on July 21, 2011

She was a wife and mother
dedicated to her call,
she served without complaining
and gave to us her all.
Her attributes were many
but I'll remember well,
her sunny disposition
and the stories she would tell.
When I was a teenager
she would often counsel me
at the kitchen table
over several cups of tea.
Her years as a designer
gained her worthy admiration,
but she'd rather give God praise
through her poems of inspiration.
To everyone who knew her
she stood ten feet tall,
and left a big impression
though her stature was so small.
Her devotion to the Lord
inspired young and old;
she lived what she professed
into her years of gold.
Her memory shall live on
deep within my heart,
and I will truly miss her
now that we're apart.
I know she is with Jesus
in a beautiful place...
I shall say farewell until
we once again embrace!

Your loving daughter, Chris

About the Poet
Christian since 1973, widowed in 2007, but by the divine appt. of God, I married a wonderful, godly widower in Oct. 2010. Three grown, married sons and eight grandchildren. My first love is Jesus who inspires my pen, for apart from Him I can do nothing! I desire to honor the Lord and edify readers thru poetry He inspires.
