A Little Bit of Heaven

For the devout Christian there will always be
Times when there is a little bit of Heaven right here
When the Lord seems so close you can feel so secure
Your heart swells with joy and you want to praise

Lift your voice in an anthem to the Father of love
Who bestows on His children such matchless grace
At times like these you almost see His face
Feel His arms of love in tender embrace

Raise your hands in adoration or bend your knee
Bowing low before God's almighty majesty
Emotion of love to everyone abounds
You just can hear the mercy of heaven's sounds

A little bit of Heaven is all I need
To be encouraged others here to feed
From the Heavenly manna served from above
Blood bought manna from God's storehouse of love

A Little Bit of Heaven (c) 2002 Quentin Clingerman
