Building a :Ladder to Heaven

Into the heavenlies beyond the  sparkling galaxies

I am building a ladder to Heaven

Each golden rung is patiently and loving built with great care

Materials are chosen with Eternity in mind

With its celestial home securely in place

Tools of patience, fortitude, and especially Grace

I build in the Holy Spirit, Christ by my side

Thus, we  build with those intangible materials money cannot buy

Peace, joy, perseverance, longsuffering, love, and selfcontrol

When this life on Earth at times distracts,

Though Satan too often attacks my efforts

And I would fall from a rung

The Holy Spirit takes me by failing hand

Steadies my footing, calms my trembling heart

And We build on climbing as I go

Rejoicing in my salvation through Christ

Remembering the millions who have built with great success

Now resting in Eternal peace with God their Creator

Reaching  the ever present, when time is no more
