Wires, Wires, Everywhere

Wires, Wires, Everywhere

Wires, wires, everywhere, nor did the technician shrink
Swabbing, wiping, smearing, spotting
My head covered with twenty two wires precisely placed
Twenty two wires running from my head and earlobes
Into a measuring device

Wrapping my head in gauze, he then had me lie down
My eyes closed he started his game
Attached wires to the back of my hands
(Measuring brain waves I'll have you know)
I began to relax, slightly dozing

It happened then, from the strobe lights that were beaming
Purplish gray beings, tiny figures
Dropped from the ceiling and around the back of my head
My eyes remained sealed by the technician's command
Each of those twenty two wires began to vibrate

My brain shook with strange intensity
My eyelids screened waves of purest delight
All stopped as quickly as it started
The figures no longer in sight
The strobe light began again

Red cloaked beings of a very round shape
Made their way to the back of my head
I felt the pulsating of their climb
Then explosions of meteoric fireworks went off inside my brain
Yet, not a word was ever spoken

The technician asked me to breathe deeply
I relaxed even more
The strobe light reappeared in white fringed in yellow
The tiniest of creatures floated down
The wires vibrated once again

Rainbows filtered through my brain
Lined up on the ceiling and wall
Curved and swayed and danced about
In waves as high as this tale is tall

As high as this tale is tall
