Telling the Truth

Telling the truth
Should be no problem
Unless there is an axe to grind

Wanting the truth
should pose no problem
If it is the truth you want to find

Seeking the truth
Should be life's ambition
Other pursuits having been declined

Knowing the truth
Is great satisfaction
The rest of life it having designed

He who is the Truth
Has said, "The day you seek me with all your heart,
That day you shall find."

2002: Telling the Truth (c)2001 Quentin Clingerman
