The Perils of Freedom

The Perils of Freedom

If you want complete security

If you want total protection

If you want to be safe for certainty

From Life's tumultuous change and tenuousness

Whether it is social, economic, political

Choose not Freedom

Freedom entails lots of individual responsibility

involves taking  chances,  risks

Making choices of your own

Can be risky business

Gloriously fulfilling, but can also be humiliating

Freedom can mean gain or loss

But gives you the opportunity to spread your wings

To take the path "less chosen"

To be fully yourself!

Spiritually, Freedom also gives you choice

Choose Christ and freedom from the dominion of sin

Choose Christ and Eternal Life

That is real Freedom!

No perils in that!
