Pick up the phone
Pick up a chair
Now where did I place my hair?
What, that's the phone
Where is my mind?
For it I really pine

Pick up the table
Pick up a spoon
Balance them high
Now that's a performance, indeed, Oh my!
What, that's the phone
Over the hills my mind does roam

Pick up the carpet
Do it right
Do it, do it, with all my might
Pick up October, November, December
Soon it will be April Fools, remember

Pick up the door
Pick up the doctor
Give him a pill
Seeing it makes me positively ill
Pick up this poem
It's quite a tome

Stomp on it
Chew it quick
Eat out, pick up the check
Pick up my socks and clear the deck
Pick up this poem, my friend
Quickly, quickly, this is the end

Confused, Frustrated, Flabbergasted(C)2003 Quentin Clingerman

Seeing it makes me ill
