How do you get around

Going from town to town?

If unfamiliar territory 

A map is a must wouldn't you say?

The price of one surely does pay

Saving you time and frustration

Helping to keep you from getting lost

Thus it is with the Bible

A roadmap for living for God

To find your way on the spiritual path

Moving along on the straight and narrow

Not getting lost, living as if there were no tomorrow

There is a Heaven to gain and a Hell to shun

The Bible tells you where and to whom to run

Then to walk and not grow weary

In a life that can be winding and dreary

The Bible lifts the mundane, makes the way plain

As we read it prayerfully there is much to gain

The Bible makes clear the way of salvation

How to move in the direction of peace and exaltation

Thus keep it near, read it in both faith and fear

That you not lose your way in this wicked world

The City of God your destination
