Oh, To Be...

Oh, To Be...

In stillness, in patient waiting

In mediation, alone with my thoughts

In quietness, before God's presence

Listening for His voice, the inner assurance

Pregnant with anticipation, earnestly seeking

Cleansed of all dross in motivation

Oh, to be like Christ

Learning to wait upon the Father

Longing for His good pleasure

In every thought a holy undertaking

That the Holy Spirit may

Make Christ real in all I do and say

Make Christ real in all I do and say

Oh, To Be...(c)2008  Quentin Clingerman
