His Transcendent Glory

His Transcendent Glory

Though evils apparently prevail
Suffering, peace and love curtail
From Nature's random acts of wrath
To Mankind's acts of wicked craft

There is One who is over all
Who from Mankind a trust and commitment does call
One who from eternity's view
Knows of each unjust suffering's hue

Who hears the cries of desperation
From infants aborted to earthquake's devastation
Seeing all He calls for patient endurance
His Son giving us personal assurance

One day for those who trust in Him
Will give voice to eternal hymn
Of all wrongs righted, all injustice rectified
A world made clean, all sanctified

It is the eternal hope, a faith which sees
Beyond the earth's terrible unease
A day of full restoration story
Made possible by His transcendent glory

His Transcendent Glory (c) 2001 Quentin Clingerman
