Three Went off to War

Brothers three went off to war

Two during World War II

The oldest, Richard, went into the Army,

the Cavalry

The second, Kermit, enlisted in the Navy

to avoid the Army!

Richard, ended in Europe after victory declared there

Mopping up service, so to speak, with so much devastation

Kermit's aircraft carrier, the Franklin, nearly went down off of Japan

It limped back to the states, he came home on leave

Both survived to live their lives and raise families

Lynn, went to Vietnam, where he was injured unloading supplies

working behind the lines.

All served with honor and distinctions

The oldest two now in Heaven.

Lynn living on the family homestead with his wife

serving God and his "neighbors"

A Memorial tribute to to the brothers two

A thank you to brother three.
