In Dread, In Eager Anticipation

The Disciples feared, cringed, hid

In dread they awaited a new week

Their Sabbath bleak

Their mentor, teacher, rabbi

was dead

They feared for their own lives

Then the First Day of the Week arrived!

Since then it is with keen anticipation

His  Disciples wait

The first day of the week is a glorious celebration

Christ met death headon

And won!
