Remembering Mom

Not faultless but blameless before the Lord

Deeply devoted to Her Savior

Remember hearing her pray as she knelt by her bed

Seeing her reading her Bible as the washer swished the clotherr

Getting us ready for Sunday School and Church

But every meal praying that we should see sin as exceedding sinful

As children we could make her laugh

Though she tended toward being serious

Always a gracous hostess

She enjoyed working in her flower beds and garden

A great deal of canning in late summer and fall

Practical in all matters

She was first of all a disciple of Christ

Loving her children

Loving her husband, taking care of her family

She never worked outside of home

Knew her neighbors and shared with them

First of all the Gospel, then just being a good neighbor

Christmas was a time of homemade fudge, other candy and goodies

Special treats I will always remember

Helping us learn our special rescitations for the Christmas programs

So much more I could relate

A loving, kind, not always gentle, mother who cared deeply for us all

She is in Heaven now. Her earthly cares laid aside

My salvation mostly because of her love and devotion

Love you, Mom
