Stand at Attention Dedicated to all of our military who have ever and now serve.
Stand at attention, hand over heart As those of the military pass by in whole or in part Persons of note in somebody's life Heading out to help keep us from strife
Stand at attention, hand over heart These brave men and women doing their part To keep us safe from our enemies' hands Strong in the right taking their brave stands
Around the world they selflessly serve A standing salute is the least they deserve So, stand at attention, hand over heart Praying for our military as they do their part

About the Poet
I am a retired educator. Now 85 years of age. I live in Maryland. I am the father of three ladies and thirteen grandchildren. Four grandchildren now married. I have two great grandsons, Koi Jon and Quinn Manu and a great granddaughter,Sephira Jade.
Poems are an expression of how I think and feel. Variety in either case!
